Because of Crowley's actions, Kayla couldn't take the ingerdients from the expidition leader. Even so, being choked wasn't fun. But, thing was, it didn't bother her too much. She shoved her hands under Kaldmit's hand, and tore it off of her throat. She didn't allow the claws to get her arteries in her neck, as she had been strangled many times before, but usually by wolves. They were a bit more vicious though. 

Dreyon was about to hand over the ingredients to Kayla, when Kaldmit began choking her. This came as a surprise to him, he didn’t take the Argonian as the violent type.

“Lost dreh zu’u dreh hind daar?” Dreyon asked. He knew even in her distress, Kayla should be able to send a thought to him. At least, that was his hope. He also hoped all this would end, it was taking too much time and they should have been half way through the ruin by now.

Crowley made Kaldmit growl as Kayla was stronger than he thought. He then threw her against the wall and turned to Dreyon. He crouched and black dragon wings tore the back of Kaldmit's robe. He looked up and smiled at Dreyon with an evil smile and he charged at him.

Ow...that hurts... Kayla thought before she passed out from the impact with the wall. Her small frame took the impact hard; the back of her head was bleeding. She had dropped her bag and it's contents almost completely spilled out: spellbooks, a wand, feild alchemy supplies, a few soul gems, and her writing journals.

Dreyon saw the wings, then Kaldmit charge, and he didn’t have enough time to react. Kaldmit knocked him over, and he dropped all the ingredients he had grabbed. He knew that if Kayla and him couldn’t fight off Kaldmit, then no one could.

Crowley had Kaldmit pin Dreyon down and snarled. By now his horn mohawk was replaced with a flowing black mane and his claws were talons. Kaldmit then roared and his eyes went back to pitch black. Kaldmit then stood up and looked around in confusion. He saw Kayla leaning against a wall and he felt his wings. "Zu'u krosis" Kaldmit said to Dreyon before running out of the room on all fours.

Nnnnn.... The pain in her head had grown. What just happened? Kayla stood up slowly, but not before gathering her things. She had gotten up and seen Kaldmit's tail leave the room. It was him..., she thought to herself, and ran, stumbling, outside of the room to follow him, sending thoughts his way. Kaldmit, come back and It's okay! She saw the tip of his tail around the bend, and sped up to meet him. 

Dreyon sat up. His body ached all over as the adrenaline began to wear off. Kaldmit and Kayla rushed out of the room. He remembered about the puzzle, and followed after them. He saw Tar-Wulm and Grohild still standing by the pillars, and realized, the runes on the pillars must have to form words.

He went over to the pillar he was to operate, and recorded the rune on it. [b]. Then he moved to the other side. [a]. And the last rune was [d]. He did the same with the other pillars himself, the Argonian and Nord having no clue what the runes meant, and found that the second pillar had [e] [a] and [i]. The last had [x] [k] and [r]. He sat in near the pillar and tried to figure out what words were to be made.

Then it hit him.

Kaldmit looked up at Kayla with fear in his dark eyes. "Ni meyz near zu'u." he said as his mane stood on end. He then got to all fours and walked to Dreyon. As he walked, his legs reversed into dragon legs. Kaldmit looked at Dreyon and sat down in front of him. "Zu'u krosis. Zu'u los aan dovah ko aan siigonis kopraan." Kaldmit then walked to the door and layed down.

Why does he want me to stay away? I just want to help..., Kayla thought to herself. She wrote down quickly what she had just thought, but changed it slightly. After this, she followed quickly behind Kaldmit, trying to study his condition. I think that I can help him. I just need to know what is plauging him. Kayla paid no attention to what was going on around her, and didn't notice it until she cut herself on the bear trap her leg was stuck in. Well then, that's painful. 

Dreyon scribbled furiously. He knew which runes were on the pillars, and he tried every combination of them. In the end, he was able to make: [bex], [aak] and [dir].

“Daar los fin rotte mu lost wah wahl.” He said, motioning for Grohild and Tar-Wulm to come over. He showed them, and they went back to their pillars.

The pillars were turned to [bex], and then Dreyon flipped the lever. One of the gates opened. Then they made [aak] and again a gate opened. Then the last opened with [dir].

“Kolos dreh mu bo?” Dreyon asked rhetorically.

Kaldmit looked up. His neck had grown longer by now and he was bigger. He stood up and his tail was longer and now had a tuft of black fur on the tip. Kaldmit stretched and walked up to Kayla and sat down beside her.

There you go, friend. Kayla smiled, and sat down with Kaldmit. She began to reach out towards his snout, but then pulled back. She thought to Kaldmit, Do you mind if I pet you? She smiled at him again, and waved lightly.

“Bo, daar gein!” Dreyon shouted, charging through one of the gates. It lead into a twisting hallway, with dips and slots in the walls, skeletons and draugr in those.

Tar-Wulm and Grohild nearly knocked him over when they rushed around the corner.

“Hi nid… bo? Los… nii pruzah?” Tar-Wulm asked.

“Geh.” Dreyon replied, staring down the hall. He thought he saw something move, then an arrow whizzed past his face. It struck Grohild in the knee. She fell to the ground with a cry, and Tar-Wulm charged forward, the greatsword ready. An arrow shot passed and hit the wall next to him.

Tar-Wulm saw the draugr’s eyes and charged, the greatsword over his head. Dreyon heard clashing and grunting, then Tar-Wulm came back from the shadows, three arrows in his chest. He dropped the greatsword and fell to his knees. Dreyon rushed to him and called, “Kayla! Bo het, nu!”

Kaldmit got up and charged forward on all fours with his mouth open. He launched at the drauger and took it down, the then looked at Dreyon for further instruction. When he turned his head, Kaldmit had pieces of rotting flesh hanging from his jaws and in between his teeth.
