I’m considering switching to a gas water heater to improve efficiency. Does anyone have experience with gas water heaters, and is it worth the investment in Seattle's climate? I’m curious if the savings on energy bills will justify the installation costs.
I’ve been noticing my electric water heater isn’t cutting it anymore, especially with higher energy bills and inconsistent hot water.

I had the same issue with my electric heater a few years back. Switching to a gas water heater made a noticeable difference in both performance and savings. Gas heaters tend to heat water faster, and you'll likely see a reduction in energy bills. Plus, in colder climates like Seattle, it’s nice to have a reliable source of hot water. The upfront cost might be a bit higher, but I found it worthwhile in the long run. |

That’s really helpful to know! I’ve been looking into services for gas water heater installation in the Seattle area and came across https://bens.plumbing/services/water-heater-repair-seattle/gas/ which offers repairs and installation. They seem to specialize in this, so I might reach out to them. Anyone else here use them before for their gas water heater needs? |
