Let me see if I have this right: My light shines Are you the moon? Your light is the sun's. |
Let me see if I have this right:
My light shines
Only the light is not mine
My light shines
(It is the) best beauty (most beautiful?)
Are you the moon? Your light is the sun's.

paarthurnax Yes it is! I did have trouble figuring out how to word the last line, you probably noticed. This is what the original one looked like: "Though my light shall shine This light is not mine But my light that shall shine Is still more divine"
I tried to find a word for divinity but the closest I could get was a word for beauty or glory. |

This is great! I like how the translated version even rhymes. Was that a happy coincidence, or was it intentional? |

Dronizian I wish I could say it was intentional, but it was coinicendtal. I originally wrote the poem in English years ago and wanted to see what it would look like in Dovahzul. The fact that it rhymes in Dovahzul as well is the true wonder, haha. |
