Translators, the people with purple names, are so because they know a second language well and translate Dovahzul to their language. Check out this: https://www.thuum.org/ viewthread.php?thread=1518 Now, in your case, it would be best even if you are fluent in another language, to not ask to be one. My reasons follow. You are new, and should get used to the site and how things work, to acquire an understanding of what Dovahzul is. And sadly, many come and do all sorts of things on the site, then completely disappear. Reasons include life changes, feeling the site isn't for you, etc. But to truly be a translator, you have to have time and really care. It's great that you want to know, you're very welcome here and please don't hesitate to ask questions. I'm not staff, but I do know what I've seen. So all I ask is you first "get your feet wet" make sure you like it here, like the language, have time, come back often, all that. Then I'd say go for it. |
