Learning Dovahzul

I have been trying to learn dovahzul but there is something hard about it. I understand the grammar rules the basic words but how do you come to learn the language? Do you just make flash cards every time a new word comes into the converstion? After learning English I tried again and it still appears hard. I am just wondering what you community members do to remember words? Thank you.
