Really Dirty Dragons

I have tried several synonyms of the verb "clean" (cleanse, wash, bathe, rinse, rid, clear, free, purify, purge, etc.) and have only managed to get anything for "free".  So I tried to make a word, but apparently dragons don't even recognize words about filth.  I'd expect there to be several to use as insults towards mortals, but I see none.

Apparently, dragons don't take baths.  Ever.  Not even tongue baths.  The best representation (Stinzu'udodenek) is probably grammatically incorrect and/or mean something entirely different ("Get me out of this grave!").

This is a serious problem.  How are they not constantly infected with at least one disease?

"Bein" ("foul") and "Pook" ("stink") are existing words that could be used to describe filth. Tack on the prefix "Vo-" ("un"), and you easily have a word that means "clean": "Vobein" ("unfoul") and "Vopook" ("un-stink").

It's worth noting that canon doesn't represent the entirety of the language. Presumably what we see in-game is only a small slice of the linguistic pie. Dragons very well could have words for the things you're looking for, it's just that ancient Nords writing heroic epitaphs never got around to describing dragon bathing habits.

Samefig here. Thanks for your insight.

And you're telling me that the ancient Nords didn't have any curiosity as to dragon bathing habits?  Tamriel needs to know, man!  Stop writing poetry, ancient Nords!  We need information!

That reminds me, are female dragons canonically confirmed, denied, or neither?

No problem, happy to help!

That question is probably best asked as a separate post, but the answer is a bit tricky. Female dragons aren't mentioned in the games, but Michael Kirkbride, one of the writers for Morrowind and Oblivion, has written independent pieces on female dragons called "Jills" that exist to repair the dragon-time continuum. Dragons don't reproduce anyhow, so "male" and "female" are a bit of a misnomer here, but if you're interested in Kirkbride's work, female dragons can be found there: https://www.imperial-library.info/category/tags/jills
