Kiir or kirre?

Since children is the plural of child, should kiir be kirre?

Either are acceptable spellings. Whenever a plural noun ends with aa or ii, they might shorten to a or i. For example, rotmulag - rotmulagge, or kaal - kalle. This is not often seen but is something to keep in mind in case you encounter it in the game or in other work.
