I've heard this said both ways

In Song of the Dragonborn it sounds like "ark"

In The Dragonborn comes it sounds like Aak

You are supposed to say it like "ark" (and roll the r). Some people from England and it's colonies don't pronounce "r" when it's in the middle of a word so best guess is that particular VA is from one the places that drop it.
