Ok, so my best advice here is to describe why something is weird and translate THAT instead. I say that because I just looked up the word origin for "weird" and it's from "controlling destiny" or "unearthly" and that just doesn't translate very well either.

Just think of "weird" in the context of the other things you're trying to trying to translate, and translate THAT idea instead. For example "He looks weird" might mean "He looks like he doesn't belong" or "The shape of his head or face is unlike anything I've ever seen".
