Correct name translation

Hi, I’m very new here and I’m currently going through the first lesson but I’m a little stuck on the name task. My name is Andrew, so I have 2 problems. Firstly, do I use thoor, un or huul to pronounce the “ew” in my name? Secondly, the second part of the task says to write how you think the normal spelling of your name would be pronounced in the Dovah alphabet, so would my name be pronounced exactly the same? There’s nothing to say that “ew” wouldn’t be pronounced the way it is, although slightly unconventional.

Thank you :)

Drem yol lok Andrew,

Depending on your name, there is two ways of doing this. The first is to translate leter by letter, (I don't recommend doing this tho, as pronunciation will be difficult) However, try going onto the alphabet page as there is all the sounds to the letters to help you know sound rather than the letter.

For example

Andruu - most likely to be this, as these are the sounds from the dovahzul alphabet

(Remember - Its about sound not letter-by-letter when it comes to names)

Or try making your own dovahzul name, there is a page for to!
