Labyrinth Game

So I got on to the page where the labyrinth game is and I am now finding myslef stuck. I have never before played a text based asdventure game and so I'd appreciate it if somebody could just explain what to do.

To play the game, you enter in specific commands. For example, "BROM" will move you north. "TOVIT" will make you search the room. Sometimes you need to put a number after your command. If there are multiple enemies, then "NOS 2" will attack enemy #2. "KOD 4" will equip inventory item #4.

You can enter "UTH" at any time to see a full list of commands you can make.
