Thanks for the feedback, anon. The translator right now is more an advanced word search, if that helps. The biggest problem with the old translator was that it was wrong most of the time, especially going from English to dragon. Another problem is that people who wanted to use the language would copy and paste from the translator instead of actually learning the language, which was made worse by the translator being inaccurate. What I wanted to do with the new translator is have it give all the information and then allow you to piece the translation together yourself. This way the the translator technically can't be "wrong," and hopefully you're learning something along the way, too. So the translator can't be wrong, hooray, but as you mention it's confusing to people who don't know the language (which is going to be most people who use a translator, anyway), and puts a lot of work on your end. I'll think about how to meet in the middle here and make the translator easy to use, while avoiding too many inaccuracies and prompting people to learn if they're interested. |
