How would one translate 'Taught' or 'gave' ?

I am writing a fanfiction which has heavy usage of the dragon tounge. For the most part, I have made things work well, but these two words are ones that I have trouoble working around. I am no linguist, but would like to hear what any of you might have to say about this. Thank you in advance for your time.

Thu'um kos voth hi.

"Give" is straightforwardly ofan in any simple tense and any person. A common paraphrase for "X teaches Y about Z" is X bolaav onikaan do Z fah Y, "X grants wisdom of Z to Y"

Frinmulaar is right, that is the most common phrase for teaching. However, the phrase X ofan mindoraan do Z fah Y ("X gives understanding of Z to Y") works too, although that has a slightly different connotation to it. Use whichever you think would fit better in the context of your story.
