How is Xp granted?

Is Xp granted by just posting? Or is it granted by posting on new threads and not ones you have posted previously on? Some clarification would be appreciated!

November 21, 2017 		Experience is gained the same way gold is obtained: posting to any forum except The Hearth, posting to the Question Board, and participating in active site events. If you are a Translator, you can gain gold and experience from making translations. More on Translatorship here.
