So... I'm gonna guess we can't make music for it? Only poetry, artwork, and short stories?

I was going to make artwork for this, but I'm not sure if there is a reference for Lindla, or if we are to make up her looks. I would be wandering if other artist would like to collabborate on what she might look like so that we keep her looking similar in all stages of her story. Or if someone already has a look for her and could post it as a reference. |

NaxSeViir She can look however you'd like. Not everyone's art needs to look the same, either. The greater variety, the better. |

I would really like to write the section about Tahagrel, but I don't want to step on anyone's toes. I don't mind doing one of the other parts. Also concerned about competition. Should I choose a less popular section so that I'm not competing with the Dovahzul veterans? How should I approach this? |

Maakrindah Don't worry at all about stepping on other's toes. The goal is to get a variety of pieces that explore the tale in different ways. Write whatever you'd like to write about! |

Sounds fun! I'll get to brainstorming right away ^^ May I ask what time the deadline would be, and which time zone? |

gtfobro Let's say 11:59 PM, American Central Time. It's not a hard deadline, so if you send your submission the next morning, that'd be fine too, so long as it's not a day or more after. |

What is Lindla's surname in Dovahzul? Is it "Fokiin" or a phonetic transliteration of "Frostborn"? And if phonetic, is it "Frahst" or "Frost"? Also, "Born" or "Boorn"? |

If we are having difficulty with translations, is there a way to submit our entries to a translator for proofreading? Would grammar mistakes be fixed in editing or is grammar and vocabulary part of the competition? I am going to do everything I can to properly translate my entry myself, however I have doubts about my translating abilities when it comes to 1500+ words (which is probably what my entry will be). |

When it comes to the existing TES lore, what are we allowed to do? For instance, if one wanted to tie Lindla in as one of the 500 Companions or something else in the lore, could we directly contradict an in-game book?
(Because the in-game history sources for the TES games often contradict each other, it would make sense if we are allowed to contradict them as well, particularly since we are telling a story that takes place about 5 eras before Skyrim's gameplay. On the other hand, the Lore's integrity needs to be maintained.) |

@Maakrindah, grammar and vocabulary are part of the competition. If an entry is otherwise good, I will fix minor mistakes when putting the final story together. If you want to send me your entry early, I'd be more than happy to review it and offer advice. You can do whatever you'd like to develop Lindla's story. Her being one of the Five Hundred Companions is a great way of including her into the rest of the lore. Contradictions are encouraged. Some far-fetched examples might include Lindla being a Dragonborn or Lindla becoming Talos, but those are so impossible that it might help to wrap it in the context of a crazy or less knowdgeable Nord telling the story (a la Alduin is Real). |

@paarthurnax
Would making her the "Mother" / "Matriarch" / "Progenerator" of an existing lore faction which does not have a genesis story such as the Ancient Skaal be acceptable? I don't want to push the limits. Let me know if something like that is appropriate. |
