Dragon Language Print Dictionary 5th Edition |
December 16, 2017
The canon dictionary is now available to download for print and offline use! If you're up for some not-so-light reading, the new PDF contains 305 pages with detailed entries including pronunciation, source citations, and usage examples for the 647 canon words. It also has alphabet and grammar cheat-sheets. Happy studying! |

Awesome! I've kinda been waiting for the Dictionary to be redone. However, that shouldn't have kept me from studying |

Excellent! I've been waiting for a while to see this made. Lot zok kogaan, thuru! Thank you so much for putting this together! This should help greatly with my efforts in writing songs in canon Dovahzul. Would it help at all if I proofread this document for spelling errors or minor issues like I had previously found in the online dictionary/translator? While I have faith in Paarthurnax's abilities, I'd be happy to be an extra pair of eyes during my free time, just in case. |

Hahdremro Go for it! It's exactly the same content that's on the site, so any proofreading you do would go toward the online dictionary as well. Something to note is that I pulled the data for this dictionary a few months ago, so there may be some updated entries that aren't reflected in the PDF. (For example, Frin, the error you pointed out in sonaan is fixed on the site but not the PDF.) |

Excellent! I'll get on that as soon as I can. It's good to be able to contribute to this community. Should I list any errors here, or in the preexisting "Translator errors" thread? Or should a new thread be made for any mistakes found in the 5th edition print dictionary? |

Hahdremro Your Translator errors thread will be just fine. Maybe we can call that the "Dictionary Revision" thread? |

paarthurnax I'll revise the thread name and description to suit its new purpose, then! Ond, vennesetiid aak zu'u siiva pruzah dez do mindoraan Dovahzul. Edit: It seems I can't edit any of my posts on any threads, and I cannot change thread details either. This has happened more than once today, and according to Zokinthur in this thread, I am not the only one who is currently unable to edit posts... Except, apparently, this one, which I just posted seconds before editing. I'll create a thread about this issue on the Site Discussion forum. Edit 2: I posted the thread here. |

florencepugh Funnily enough, I have lived in Prague for such a long time, yet the online thing I know, as far as language is concerned, are a few worst Czech swear words and insults! |
