- The Road Not Taken, by Robert Frost

Certainly a bit of a challenge for my first time...  but I thought I would give it a go.  Grassy (edit: fixed!), leaf (edit: just added), different (edit: added this too!), undergrowth, trodden...  Quite a few words I had to use either similar things or try to come up with a way to use the prefixes/suffixes that (in my own little strange mind) makes sense.  It should be just as much a challenge to read as it was for me to translate it...  heh.

If you do translate it (back) and believe that there are some things you would change, please let me know!  I love constructive criticism and it is usually how I improve.

My first attempt in composing in Dovahzul was a poetic translation of Ancient Nord poem about High King in Jagged Crown. I posted it in "Phrase of the day" thread.

Rok imzik Dovah mah ahrk dir.

Ok zahreik ahrk ok haal los mul.

Rok los iiz strun, aan nah vein nir,

Faal Kriis Jun ko ok Aldin Du'ul.

The second was my own poem, a patriotic Nordic song called Kiir do Keizaal which I included in Lovaasse do Vulon do Luv cycle (this cycle is posted in the thread of the same name).

Zu'u mindok fridir ahrk ro.

Dreh hi laan wah mindok?

Frolok ahst daar graag feykro,

Frolok ahst laar bii lok!

Ahst daar lo'om voth viintaas iiz,

Ahst strunmah don voth od,

Ahst gol veyn felniir vorliz,

Ahst aan lokraanii bod...

Fah himdah ahrk taar Zu'u draal,

Fah dii shir brit Keizaal!

I'm not so good in Dovahzul yet, if there are any mistakes please correct me.

Annwvyn: that poem is my all-time favourite. It looks like you did an incredible job! I tried to translate this poem some time ago but never finished it due to lack of words. Absolutely excellent!
