After a few minutes the pain subsided. I stood up as did the others. 'It isn't Dovahthur. But who? Maybe . . . Gods no it can't be.'

I walk to the edge. 'He's here somewhere.'

The old man sees me enter the cave and close it.

There! I leap off of the mountain, my robe flowing in the wind. I land with one knee and one foot on the ground. I teleport to the man. I gasp and cough. Somehow the air is thinner down in the cave. This time I see another illusion. Dovahthur walks toward me and waves my daughter's severed head in my face. I stumble back. 'This isn't real. This isn't real! You are dead! Wait. Fear. This . . . this is my fear. I see now. You are not real. You are but an illusion.'

'Do you not fear me?'

'What is there to fear? Thou are dead, and now suffering eternally at the hands of the gods. This not Dovahthur, only a trick.' He roared and erupted into a black mist. Now I stood before the man behind the spell.

'I conquered my fear, now I conquer you.'
