AhkrinfeynvokunRanfire sighed, resting by the fireplace in the old Inn. Bruma was far from her favorite Imperial city to visit. It was always bitter cold and the buildings looked like they could fall apart any moment. Actually, a resident had just been killed by a stuffed Minotaur head falling off its mountings! And to make things even better, Daedra are invading Nirn. She shook her head, scanning a copy of Black Horse Courier that had been laying on the table. According to Phillida, Imperial Legion soldiers have discovered thirteen separate instances of the macabre "Black Sacrament," a sinister rite purportedly used to summon a member of the Dark Brotherhood, in order to arrange an assassination. And they actually think they'll catch one of them? She snorted, tossing the paper aside. A loud crash was heard outside followed by several screams. Leaping to her feet, Ranfire threw her helmet and hood on and rushed out the door. More Daedra!? She could see the smoke and glow of flames coming from the nearby mountains. "Here I thought I was actually going to get some sleep tonight." She muttered, starting to trek towards the mountains. A strung, fluctuating sort of humming sounds through the snowstorm. A deer perks its head up, before sending out its own species' signal for its herd to retreat, speeding past Ranfire. The droning is getting consistently louder, before a great, metal beast breaks through the forest top into a nearby clearing, kicking up a great amount of snow, leaves, and twigs as it touches down. Two doors on the side open up, before strange men in white armor with blue highlights, metal, black sticks and logs in their arms that look vaguely like crossbows. They spread out, sweeping the area with lights coming from the sides of their helmets, their T-shaped 'face' completely emotionless in the snowstorm.
