There'll be one, it's just a question of how good it will be. Personally, I like what was said above: Humans versus Elves in Elsweyr. There would have to be good reasons to support both sides, though. They kind of did that with Skyrim between the Imperial forces and the Stormcloaks, but I think that the scale was tipped a little in the favor of the Stormcloaks. Another thing to add would be subclasses of Humans and elves beyond the normals ones from Skyrim and other games. That way we wouldn't feel constrained by having to choose Human or Elf. Finally, the main character needs to be special, sort of like the whole dragonborn thing.

"Humans versus Elves in Elsweyr?" What the hell?!

Have any of you ever written a decent, sensible story in your life?

"Subclasses?" There are already four races of humans and three races of elves to choose from, along with Orcs, Khajiit, and Argonians!

What could a barren wasteland like Elsweyr offer to either the elves or humans, aside from freaking trade? The Dwemer never liked Elsweyr, none of the elves ever liked Elsweyr, the Orcs don't care, the Redguards are busy fighting for their own land, the humans have political trifles to deal with... The Argonians are the only ones that could psoiibly give a damn.

I could totally see a war between forces of Blackmarsh and Elsweyr, but you seem to have some misconceptions about the motives of the races... And a bias towards the other races like everyone else who played Skyrim and siad, "Eh, this is pretty cool!" when they picked the freaking cat in character creation and read a couple blurbs on the loading screen and thought they were an expert on the history. Skyrim is a very poor example of the Elder Scrolls franchise, even if it is riddled with lore.

In short, all of you need to try to view it from more than the "cool" view of things, and maybe try playing Morrowind or Daggerfall or Arena if you can get your hands on it.
