cause, Akatosh is the God of Dragon, and since Makor is part dragon and the thing corrupting is a dragon soul it only makes logical sense to use the god of dragons

'Makor was corrupted by a dragon soul and--agh, damn it. Why argue with the villager who was foolish enough to come along in a journey that gives the most powerful fighters a hard, bloody time?!' * That goes for reality as well. If there is some sort of apocalypse or whatever that is coming in the far future, near future or this instant, humanity deserves all the pain it will be getting.
