So, making songs that would ryme in Dovahzul would be amazing! And they could go all the way from re-makes of other songs, to their own ones that dragons or ancient nords could have sung! (Why ancient nords? The only song in Dovahzul couldn't have been sung by dragons, since it raises Dovahkiin and says that dragons are bad.)

I wrote a guide to translating songs a while back. What you call a remake is still actually translation. You have it right that songs shouldn't be translated literally if you want to keep rhyme.

Right. I think we should make NEW songs, not remakes or translations. Still, I don't have any ideas right now.

This is an awesome idea. I don't know if I'll actually be able to think of something, but if I do, I'll share it here. It would really be more of a poem, though, because I know nothing about music theory.

I'd write a song in Dovahzul but I lack ideas. If someone has anything let me know.

EDIT: I mean ideas as in an event, story, concept or lesson/moral in the Elder Scrolls universe, of course.

More specific though! The song of the dragonborn isn't just about dragons, it's about the defeat of Alduin by the hand of the one and only.

A specific event, small or big, is much easier to write around.

The dragon war? Maybe the defeat of Alduin by the ancient heroes and the Kel?
