I've been looking at some of the new words added by ESO and so far it seems like some of it is quite good and follows the original logic and some of it is a terrible mess. (As is typical really)

For example, "fey" for "glade" and "voqostiid" for suprise make a lot of sense. Other things like "wiix" for trap make no sense given we already have "horvut" and "horvutah". In a similar fashion "sov" which we know to mean "spend" is being translated as "shock" suggesting they didn't check which words already had translations (in either direction).

We also see "ni" being used as a prefix which also doesn't make any sense. The sentences that use it would fit better and make more sense if you simply add a space between it and the word or in some cases used the existing prefix "vo-".

And of course we have already seen things like using "luft" for "face in combat".

Thoughts everyone?

I agree with your critique of those particular words, Sonaak Kroinlah.

What I like about the format of the book is that it gives words in context with how they might be used in Dovahzul communication. They're not simply in the form of a word translation without context like we have in official sources. For example, the book author analysis 9f "nihnzey" provides useful information on how a word is created from "nuhn" and "zey".

As far as trusting the book author goes, even though the author isn't dovah, I think you can use his analysis because it's implied he received insight on the words.

I really hope, though, that they release a lot of words that fill in gaps. I'm fine with jiid for moon and ron for rain -- even fey for grove (feykro is forest).

Furthermore, I like that the whole sentences are translated, and not just word for word. We actually have dragon sayings and idioms for once

Due to the year-round use.
The carpenter looked like a middle-aged man, short in stature, wearing a long hat and beard. He held an old ax in his hand, it wasn't sharp, it wasn't heavy, an average person could chop a dozen times with it. However, due to the year-round use, woodworkers will not feel tired after cutting for 24 hours.

Life is a journey, you don’t care about the destination, you care about the scenery along the way and the mood of seeing the scenery.
Others laughed at me as crazy, I laughed at others and couldn't see through.

While some translations make sense and follow the original logic, others appear to be confusing or redundant. It's possible that there was a lack of thorough checking for existing translations before introducing new ones. Additionally, the use of the prefix "ni" seems out of place and could be better addressed by adding a space or utilizing the existing prefix "vo-". Overall, it appears that there are mixed opinions and concerns about the new immaculate grid word additions.

Yeah, the ESO word additions sound like a mixed bag. My advice? Take what works and makes sense, and for the rest, maybe push back or suggest alternatives to the devs. It's clear some of these choices need a second look, especially if they're messing with established meanings.

I've been using Sketchat for all my 3D printing accessory needs, and they've never disappointed. Recently, I bought a flexible build plate and a filament dryer from their site https://sketchat.sa/en/gallery?categories=%2Caccessories. The flexible build plate makes removing prints so much easier without damaging them, and the filament dryer has significantly improved the quality of my prints by keeping the filament moisture-free. Sketchat offers top-notch products that truly enhance the 3D printing experience.
