I personally like the sneak and bow for when they don't know i'm there, but when they find me i go to dual weild. I play as an Argonian that is currently level 39

I love archery, but I don't do sneak much, just put an arrow through their heads when you see them, much quicker. And if that doesn't work, I can always run away while screaming.

What character do you play as?

I think I might be forever stuck as the "sneaky archer" in Skyrim. Every time I try to go for Magicka-based or Two-handed characters, I end up going back to Archery to deal with long-range weapons of enemies. It's a habit.... 

My last character was a Lvl 80 Imperial ("Timotheus") who was a defense specialist with block all the way up, and magicka resistance all the way up. Of course, also archery .. and sneak...

Yol it depends, usually a Khajiit.

 I used to be stuck in the sneak archer build as well, but it became way to easy after a while and... just not fun anymore. So first I stopped sneaking and doing regular archery, now I even moved onto magic and one handed. Maybe that could help you Zin?

Possibly. My issue is that I hate being surprised or doing up close combat when I'm not mentally prepared... So yeah, my nature is working against me...

I always sneak when I go on quests.

I love playing the theif! Using Duel weild Daggers (I have a High Enchanted Dragon Bone Dagger and of course Mehrune's Razor). My theif character is lvl 56 and is a Dark Elf!

My other favorite character is my Mage. Also is a Dark Elf, Uses Destruction, Restoration, Conjuration, and Altercation. The first two are Obvious but I used Altercation and Conjuration when i couldn't Kill it with fire! I would use a bound weapon after i used ebonyflesh. Also my mage is lvl 79.

As far as Elder Scrolls builds for fighting go, I am a really big fan of Spell Swords. Why?

1. They're pretty neat looking
2. They play greatly, expecially in Oblivion
3. 2 times the slashy pokey and 2 times the burny hurty

An honorable mention would be a Skyrim exclusive shout build. It's an honorable mention, becuase it's not 100% viable without glitches/cheats and it is exclusive to only 1 game. Why?

I either play as a sneaky wall hugger with a silver tongue or a hardened and honorbound sword and board. Otherwise I play a pure mage or a spellsword hybrid with the help of a lot of spell and combat mods to make up for over 700 hours as a sneeki vanilla archer boy haha.

Right now I'm playing as Vilkam Taal. He is a Skyrim born nord who has seen both sides of life first hand. Wealth and poverty, kinship and loneliness, love and hate. He does not take part of the civil war because he feels that the ideals of both sides are too selfish for Skyrim to truly be free. Instead he wanders the land helping those he meets independent of politics and organisations. 

I prefer to use Destruction magic and the [Thuum]. More civilised weapons for a more civilised age.
