WoW has a new buyable pet who is called shadow and i bought it an recognized that there are changing Dovahzul Letters. I recognized a N,J,A but i cant find out the last one. Here are screenshots from all 4 Letters:

It starts with J,A,?,N but i dont know what it means or maybe it is in a different order but can someone help me solving this easteregg?

Wow, no pun intended, those really are draconic runes! Unfortunately I searched the whole alphabet through without finding a match for the third rune. The only thing it could remotely look like is an extremely distorted N flipped and lying on its side, which makes no sense as they already have a recognisable N present. Definitely an interesting find, though the creator may just have been looking for any arbitrary symbols.

Ye I also searched through it multiple times and havnt found a similar one. Maybe when guessing it can be found out. Do you know a Word with Jan? Maybe Jayn or Jaun or something like this? Thx btw :D

The mystery character on https://prnt.sc/grqbhn doesn't look at all like the [N] character to me.

It shares similarities with [B] and with [2] (el) with just the upper left mark being completely off.

Depending on what the texture map for the pet looks like, it may just be an [ei] with a damaged/distorted corner.

But why would Blizzard do this? The other Runes are really clear to see and recognize but only one doesnt. btw there are also other Runes on the pet but i dont know what it is maybe from another game but it doesnt have to do something with The Elder Scrolls I think. Should i post screenshots from these Runes aswell?

Well, I'm a little surprised they did it at all. Snagging art assets from another game your company owns is one thing; snagging them from the competition is kind of a professional no-no, I would think...

And yes, seeing those other runes would be neat. I might even recognize one; I fiddled with the elder futhark runes once, many years ago.

OH! I figured it out. The mystery rune is an inverted  [aa]

Flip your screen upside down and look at it.

So we have a pet whose forehead says [J A AA N]. I wonder what they mean by that.

I think the runes doesnt start as we think, because it changes everytime but the order is correct, so it also could be aanja or aan ja ^^. Took me a while to get the other runes because it changes every 2 minutes and only last for 20 seconds, the dragon runes last way longer:

Well, I give up.  The two with the triangle almost-motif I feel like I've seen before, but can't for the life of me place either sybol. They're not from tolkein, they aren't hylian, they're not ayleid, norse, german, couldn't find em in celtic...or a bunch of other random alphabets.

The only one I got even close to is the one at https://prnt.sc/grrdab which might be a variant of the pokemon Unown: https://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/thumb/7/72/201Unown_I_Dream.png/62px-201Unown_I_Dream.png of all the silly things...

I also recognized the unown :D. But I think it is really hard and maybe this Easteregg will remain unsolved because i havent found anyone in the net who also have seen it. I love the Pet because of the Dovahzul on it ^^

If I ever get around to playing WoW, I will get a pet and name it "Jaaan" in honor of this discovery.

Sure, there were other revelations about these runes since then, but the name "Jaaan" is immensely entertaining to me for some reason. It's just so exaggerated, I love it.
